Ghana international Kasim Adams Nuhu is not keen on a move to Spain as he reveals his desire to one day ply his trade in the English Premier League.
The Young Boys defender rose to prominence last year owing to a run of impressive appearances for club and country.
His good showing has made him a transfer target for English outfits Newcastle United, according to media reports.
“Every footballer has aspirations,” Kasim told Ghanasoccernet.
“I dream of playing in the Bundesliga or the [English] Premiership, so I have to work harder in 2018 to make my dream a reality.
“I have been in Spain and have tasted their football, but I want to play in the two leagues for a new experience.
“I had a great season in 2017 from the club side to the national team and I expect a better season in 2018.”
Following a permanent move from Spanish side Real Mallorca to Swiss giants Young Boys last year, the 22-year-old defender showed good form in the Uefa Champions League and subsequently in the Europa League following Adi Hutter's side's demotion from the first competition.
His good fortunes were not restricted to his club as he was handed his international debut in a friendly against Saudi Arabia in October. He scored in the 3-0 triumph for the Black Stars.
