Kakamega Homeboyz have signed Jimmy Bageya from Nairobi City Stars.
Homeboyz, who will take on Ulinzi Stars in the next league match on Wednesday, signed the Ugandan on a one-year deal that will run until June 2019.
Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula said that the club is currently strengthening the squad to challenge for a top five finish.
“We have signed Bageya as we want to have a strong team for the second leg. He has been training with us and the coaches are impressed. We still want to make sure that we make our target for the season – finish league among top five teams,” Shimanyula told Goal.
Homeboyz, under the Ugandan tactician Paul Nkata, are currently 10th on the log with 24 points.
Nkata, a former Bandari coach, who won a double with Tusker in 2016, will be in charge of his first league match with Homeboyz since he replaced Mike Mururi, when they visit Afraha Stadium on Wednesday.
