Inter deny Icardi & Handanovic exit reports

Inter Milan director Piero Ausilio has denied all reports that Mauro Icardi and Samir Handanovic could leave the club this summer.

Icardi has been heavily linked with an exit from the Serie A giants, with his agent, Wanda Nara, claiming that "big clubs" are willing to trigger his €110 million (£96.5m/$129.4m) release clause.

The 25-year-old has been touted as a possible target for Chelsea, while Manchester United, PSG and Bayern Munich are also reportedly interested.

However, Ausilio, who has also dismissed any idea of Handanovic leaving the club for Napoli this summer, insists that Icardi will not be going anywhere.

“There’s no truth in Handanovic to Napoli. Icardi will not be leaving, absolutely not," he told Sport Italia  .

Ausilio has also weighed in on potential moves for Sassuolo winger Matteo Politano and Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan, refusing to rule out a bid for either player.

“We like lots of good things," he replied when pressed on links with Politano.

On Nainggolan, he added, cryptically: “It’s not just Spalletti who likes him.”

Inter finished fourth in Serie A in 2017-18, 23 points behind champions Juventus.
