In a match that saw kick-off delayed, the Indian colts had a sight at goal in the 5th minute, which saw Salio work the opposition goalkeeper into a neat save. That set the tempo for the Tiger Cubs' foray into the opposition half with Bekey's impressive long-range effort in the 17th minute needing another super save from the opposition 'keeper.
The scoreline wouldn't be kept blank however, as Bekey snared the opener in the 18th minute. The lead however, would last just ten minutes. An infraction by an Indian player in the Blues' box saw the fledgling Egyptian Red Devils draw level on the scoreline with a well taken penalty by Ali, in the 28th minute.
