Start gained promotion to the Ligaen from the first division, after finishing second last season and Twum, who has become the second Ghanaian at the club aside Denis Antwi, is expected to play a crucial role in midfield for Mick Priest's side as they seek to maintain their top-flight status.

Twum made his debut appearance for Ghana in October against Saudi Arabia in an international friendly. He was also the captain of the Black Stars B squad that won the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations.
