I-League club Mohun Bagan have released striker Anusmana Kromah owing to a string of poor performances.
The Kolkata-based club had succumbed to a disappointing 2-1 loss to Minerva Punjab on Wednesday at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan, a game in which Kromah failed to convert a spot-kick.
Coach Sankarlal Chakraborty had already dropped hints in his post-match press conference when he said that he needs to discuss important things with the club officials after the loss. He even mentioned that the penalty miss by Kromah in the first-half was the turning point of the game.
According to reports, there were several meetings held after the loss against Minerva between the officials and the coach.
On Thursday evening, the Kolkata giants made it official that they have parted ways with Kromah, stating that the club and player have agreed to a 'mutual separation'.
