Suspended Hlatshwayo is set to miss the second-leg clash against the Red Devils on Sunday

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt  says he will use Wednesday's Nedbank Cup last 32 clash against Cape Town All Stars to prepare captain Thulani Hlatshwayo's replacement.

The three-time PSL title winning coach has stated that Hlatshwayo was booked after their 1-0 defeat to Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the Caf Champions League first round first-leg clash in Cairo over the weekend.

“It was unbelievable. He basically got booked in the tunnel - for time wasting. So now I have to play someone else at centre-back in the cup match to prepare them for Sunday,” Hunt told The Star.

Hunt also made it clear that their intentions are to beat Al Ahly in order to advance to the next round of the continental competition.

“This club wants to reach the next level and this is part of it. Who would have thought we would be in Cairo playing a massive club like Al Ahly in the Champions League?

“We must play. We said we want to play. We want to do well in everything especially here at home,” Hunt said.

“I said after the match in Cairo that if I was their coach I would be massively disappointed," he added.

"Not to say we were there for the taking, but it was a hostile environment and they would have wanted to take advantage of that and score more than just one goal,” Hunt concluded.
