Henry Haggai praises Supreme Court players for sticking to game plan

Supreme Court head coach, Henry Haggai has boasted that it was his game plan which his players perfectly executed that earned them a draw against highly fancied Enugu Rangers in Kano on Wednesday in a Federation cup tie.

The Abuja based side are the giant killers of this year’s Federation Cup having masterminded the defeat of eight times Federation Cup king, Shooting Stars and top-flight side, Go Round and they have drawn against Sunshine Stars before the point earned against the Flying Antelopes.

Despite playing in the third tier of the Nigerian league they are on the cusp of qualifying for the quarter-final at the expense of El Kanemi Warriors, Sunshine Stars and Enugu Rangers who are household names in the premier league.

An elated Haggai hinted that he told his players to stick to their game tactics and that his players were patience even when the odds were against them before getting the equaliser they sought for towards the end of the fixture.

“We came with a game plan and my wards kept to the plan and we got the result we needed,” Haggai told the media.

“For us, it is one point gained as we go into the last match against El Kanemi Warriors. Three points from that match might see us topping the group as we chase our target for the season.”

Supreme Court will face El Kanemi Warriors on Friday in the final Group B encounter with a win enough to take them to the next round of the game but a draw could be sufficient if Enugu Rangers are able to defeat Sunshine Stars in the other game.

The Nationwide side are second along with Sunshine Stars with two points each from two games.
