The Kenyan government has moved to assure Kenyans that Nyayo Stadium will be ready for use by March, 2019.
Sports Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Kirimi Kaberia has maintained that the current renovation work going on at the second largest stadium in the country, will be completed by March.
He also confirmed that workers at the site are moving with speed, to make sure that the venue is ready to host Jamhuri Day celebrations set for December 12.
“The contractors are working round the clock to have the stadium ready. They have not fitted seats yet but this should be done soon and I am also confident that the venue will be ready for use by March next year,” Kaberia told reporters during an inspection tour.
