K'Ogalo are sure of winning Kenyan Premier League title in 2017

Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier says the team is aiming to win the league as early as possible.

The 15-times Kenyan Premier League champions struggled to match eventual winners Tusker, finishing second with 54 points last season and they do not want to make any mistakes this season. Rachier is adamant that this time round it will not be the same, and that the team is well prepared.

"We have managed to sign good players and things are looking good. We want to avoid what happened last season, where we had to depend on other teams to do us a favour of beating the leaders so as to enable us challenge.

"This time we are aiming at winning the league early, as early as August in that with a few games remaining we are not under any pressure," he told Goal.
