Sani Abbani believes with his current form and adequate support from his teammates Gombe United can trouble Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Sunday.
Abbani has scored in his club’s last three matches including the delightful 35 yards strike against El Kanemi Warriors.
“I have been with Gombe United since the beginning of the season but it is now that Allah has said that I should start doing well,” Abbani told Goal.
"I have scored in our last three games and I still believe I can still score more goals before the end of the season.
"We are facing a tough opponent on Sunday in Uyo but we must believe in ourselves and our aspirations that for us to remain in the premier league at the end of the season, we must be ready to suffer to get a good result against clubs like Akwa United. They will want to come at us from the beginning of the match but if we are confident in ourselves that we can do it, it will be possible.
“I still believe I have the quality to trouble Akwa United in Uyo and with the support of my teammates we can get the result we desired that will further enhance our determination to end the season in the topflight.”
