Go Round match-winner against Lobi Stars, Shedrack Oghali has expressed happiness at his third goal of the season after his recent recovery from the hamstring injury that sidelined him for the most part of the first round.

Oghali’s flying header in the 69th minute off a good cross from Akinwale Ogunjobi handed the top-flight newcomers a precious victory and the striker informed that the confidence reposed in him by their coach, Ngozi Elechi was responsible for his recent self-belief.

He agreed that his failure to regain match fitness after his stint on the sidelines was the reason for his bench role after his return to first team duties but stated that he would continue to work harder to ensure that he maintains his present form till the end of the season.

“It is my duty to play football and that is why I am in Go Round and I can state without mincing word that I am thrilled with this goal and the three points,” Oghali told Goal.

"I know that we also have other players too that are doing well and are also here. Football is not predictable where you can say that you will always be involved in matches. There are times when you are not in best shape to play then you will have to take a backseat.

“There are periods too that we have to deal with injuries. I was injured at the beginning of the season but I have since returned and playing well now. I have to continue to work harder to ensure that I am able to maintain my present form.”

The attacker praised the doggedness of he and his teammates in their hard-earned victory over the league leaders and he charged them to maintain the same level of consistency in their remaining matches of the season to enable them to escape the relegation zone.

“I will have to say that we played very well against Lobi Stars and deserved our three points but we must still ensure that we are consistent in our remaining matches of the season both home and away.

“If we are able to approach every game the way we did against Lobi we will not have any business with the relegation zone at all. We must try to speak to ourselves and strive to ensure that we secure better results in all our remaining matches.”

Oghali’s goal has lifted Go Round off the drop zone as they presently occupy the 16th spot with 29 points from 24 matches.
