Ghana coach Samuel Paa Kwasi Fabin has described their group for the 2017 Fifa Under-17 World Cup as a "decent" one.

The two time champions, who are set to return to the tournament for the first time since 2007, have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts India, Concacaf runners-up the USA and Colombia, who finished fourth at the recent South American championship in Chile.

“It is a decent group for us," Fabin told Ghana Sports Online.

"We wouldn’t underrate any team and I believe the teams in the group know our pedigree as well.

“We will prepare well for this tournament. We will make sure we make an impression."

Ghana open their campaign against Colombia on October 6 before facing the USA and India on October 9 and 12 respectively.

"We have already set a target for ourselves and we are going to work towards that," Fabin added.

“All the three teams in the group are good sides and we will approach each one of them with all the seriousness.”

India 2017 will mark Ghana's ninth appearance at the World Cup since debuting in 1989.

The Starlets lifted the trophy on two occasions -1991 and 1995 - came second in 1993 and 1997, and finished third and fourth in 1999 and 2007 respectively.

Fabin's outfit emerged second at the recent African championship in Gabon to book a place at the World Cup.
