After Kaizer Chiefs keeper Itu Khune's injury against Chippa United, South African soccer fans went into full-on panic mode!
They're all horrified at the thought of Khune not playing against Senegal. To make matters worse they're imagining what it would be like if Orlando Pirates keeper Wayne Sandilands would be on goal.
To be fair on Sandilands he hasn't been bad, but that terrible mistake against Sundowns is fresh on PSL fans memory. Sandilands virtually carried Hlompho Kekana's shot into the goal.
Here's how Twitter expressed themselves after Khune's injury, even though there's still hope that the keeper might recover in time for the Senegal game. Is the injury all Leintjies fault?
Kurt Lentjies doesn't care about Bafana Bafana. hurting Khune like this. #TKO2017— Look (@KabeloKekana_) November 5, 2017
Bafana can’t go into another must-win qualifier without Khune. Hopefully it’s not serious!— Mazola J. Molefe (@superjourno) November 5, 2017
If Khune misses the Bafana games because of this, the nation must open criminal charges against Lentjies. #TKO2017— Stay Soft. (@neoprescott) November 5, 2017
