Enyimba attacker, Abdulrahman Bashir is looking forward to getting another goal against Heartland in Owerri on Wednesday to ensure that he continues with his recent blistering goalscoring form in the top-flight.
Bashir has scored twice in the People’s Elephant’s last three matches and the striker noted that he is eager to be given another opportunity on Wednesday by the technical crew to aspire to get a few more goals against the Naze Millionaires.
He acknowledged that the rescheduled league fixture with Heartland will be difficult because their hosts are battling harder to leave the drop zone but he stressed that they must remain focused knowing that a win will take them to the top three.
“This is an important game for us and we must take it very seriously. We are up against a team that is threatened by relegation and they will be all over us,” Bashir told Goal.
“I am happy that I have started scoring after staying without scoring for some time and I hope to get more goals in Owerri because a win will be of help to us. We know that they will be very dangerous to handle and they will be hoping to get the three points.
“We have prepared very hard for this game and we must concentrate on the effort we have made to ensure that we excel in this game. They will be very hard to beat but our experience should be able to see us through.”Bashir has scored three goals from as many matches and his team are presently fifth in the league log with 37 points from 23 games.
