El Kanemi Warriors have got cheering news from their treatment table after previously injured Utakho Aghaowa and Sulleyman Mohammed stepped up their recovery to a first-team return with their commencement of light training sessions.

Both players sustained long-term injuries which required placement of Plaster of Paris (PoP) on their ankle for close to two months but they have since had it removed and have begun their gradual road to recovery.

One of the coaches of the Borno Army, Shuaibu Suleiman informed that both players have been exerting themselves in their personal sessions and that very soon they will start training with the team as soon as they regain fitness and sharpness.

“We are happy that we do not have injury worries again like it was a few weeks ago as most of them have recovered and the only exceptions among them have resumed light training after their Plaster of Paris had been removed,” Suleiman told Goal.

“Aghaowa and Mohammed are the notable ones among our injured players after George Michael recovered from the ailment that kept him out for some weeks.

“The two mentioned players have started light training and after some days of intense personal workouts, we hope to review their activities to see if they can resume training with their teammates."
