K’Ogalo players have joined Harambee Stars’ camp as the team prepares to face Swaziland and Equatorial Guinea in friendly

Gor Mahia players reported to Harambee Stars camp on Monday, just hours after Football Kenya Federation cancelled their match against AFC Leopards.

The league champions were scheduled to take on Ingwe in the first derby of the season at Bukhungu Stadium but FKF postponed the match to allow their players turn out for Harambee Stars in two friendly matches this weekend.

A statement from FKF signed by CEO Robert Muthomi and obtained by Goal confirmed the postponement of the eagerly awaited derby.

“The national team is assigned to honour friendly matches against Swaziland on May 25 and Equatorial Guinea on May 28.

“As such the derby between AFC Leopards and Gor Mahia scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed to a later date. Football Kenya Federation will work to see that the match has been scheduled at earliest opportune time.”
