Crystal Palace can avoid relegation, says Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is confident that Crystal Palace can avoid relegation from the Premier League this season.

The Eagles fought from behind to earn a point against West Ham at Selhurst Park with Wilfried Zaha cancelling out Mark Noble’s opener.

The draw helped them to move three points above the drop zone, now placed 13th in the log after collecting 27 points from 26 games.

And the 21-year-old who made his 25th league appearance in the encounter is optimistic of their survival at the end of the term.

"I have faith in the team,” Wan-Bissaka said.

“I think we will prevent getting relegated with the team performances and efforts we put in.

“We should have taken the three points but we will settle with the one point.

"To come from 1-0 down into the second half and to bring it back to 1-1, it was a good performance and effort from us.

"We created a lot of chances. We should have taken them and that would have made a big difference to the game.

"We are just unlucky at times. We will keep going and eventually we will get there."

Wan-Bissaka also lauded the effort of Zaha who returned to the side to help them pick a point against West Ham after serving a one-game suspension.

"He did, especially coming back from suspension. He showed what he is capable of doing," he continued.

"He does what he does. He puts in 100 per cent when he is on the pitch."

Crystal Palace will hope to bounce back to winning ways when they take on Doncaster Rovers in Sunday’s FA Cup encounter.
