The A-League legend is back in Australia...apparently just on a holiday

Besart Berisha has returned to Melbourne on holiday after struggling to impress during his first season with J-League club Sanfrecce Hiroshima.

The former Melbourne Victory star posted a picture of himself in the Melbourne suburb South Yarra with the caption 'Back in Melbourne for some holiday, I missed a lot of things but Australian coffee is one of the most'.

The 33-year-old striker left Melbourne for Hiroshima at the end of last A-League season but only managed 67 minutes in the J-League and failed to score or start a match for his new club.

While the Kosovo international hasn't been linked with a move to Australia, several A-League clubs are in need of attacking reinforcements.

In a nightmare scenario for Melbourne Victory fans, three of their biggest rivals, Melbourne City, Adelaide United and Sydney FC, are all in the market looking for a new centre forward.

City need to fill the void of frozen out Uruguayan Bruno Fornaroli, the Reds currently have both Baba Diawara and George Blackwood out injured, while Sydney FC have spoken about signing an attacker to back up Adam Le Fondre.

According to Transfermarkt, Berisha is contracted at Sanfrecce Hiroshima until December 2019 but it wouldn't surprise if the Japanese club cut him loose after his first season struggles.

Sanfrecce predominantly used a foreign striking duo of Brazilian centre forward Patric and Thai flyer Teerasil Dangda, with the pair scoring 26 goals as the team faded to finish second in the J-League.
