Ajara Nchout scores as Rasheedat Ajibade's Avaldsnes hold Valerenga

Ajara Nchout scored as Valerenga were held to a 2-2 draw by Rasheedat Ajibade's Avaldsnes in Monday's Toppserien women's league encounter.

Eilif Nilsen's ladies were aiming for their fourth win in a row this season but they settled for a share of the spoils against Avaldsnes, who are now winless in four games.

The Cameroon international broke the deadlock in the 39th minute to put the visitors in front but Anna Jøsendal leveled matters for the hosts two minutes later.

In the 71st minute, Sofie Christiansen recovered the visitors' lead but Dejana Stefanovic netted seven minutes from the full time save her side from defeat at home.

Nchout, who lasted the entire duration, has now scored two goals in four matches for Nilsen's side, while Nigeria's Ajibade also in action for the whole match for Avaldsnes.

The draw leaves Valerenga in second on the Norwegian log with 10 points, while Avaldsnes are ninth with three points after four league matches.

Up next, Nchout's Valerenga will welcome Ngozi Ebere's Arna-Bjornar on Saturday, while Avaldsnes travel to meet Sandviken on the same day.
