“We would wish to take this opportunity to urge all our members and fans to exercise caution and observe all traffic rules while travelling to and back from the match,” read a statement obtained by Goal signed by AFC Leopards CEO, Ronald Namai.

The accident which involved supporters from AFC Leopards’ Amani Woodley Branch happened at Voi. No fatality was reported, though some sustained serious injuries. The injured were rushed to Voi hospital.

“The AFC Leopards chairman, NEC and secretariat would wish to relay its sympathies to Amani Woodley Branch fans injured on Saturday morning en route to Mombasa. We stand with you and wish the injured speedy recovery."
