Elvis Opoku has agreed a three-year contract extension with Ghana Premier League champions Aduana Stars until 2020, the club has confirmed.

The youngster joined Aduana from second-tier side Bibiani Stars in 2015 in an undisclosed fee after excelling in the Ghana FA Cup.

He played a crucial role in Aduana's run to win the 2017 Ghana Premier League title last season.

"I'm delighted to have committed my stay with Aduana. I want to achieve a lot here," Opoku said.

"I've got an unfinished business here so before I finally leave, it must be completed. Every player at Aduana enjoy the best of treatments so I didn't see the reasons why I have to leave.

"I had several offers but I'm satisfied here and hope to continue to enjoy my stay. We'll be participating in the Caf Champions League next season so my target is to help Aduana to at least reach the group stages.

“There will be more opportunities than what I'm experiencing currently if I help the club in the Champions League," he added.

Goal understands that several key players at Aduana would also commit their future after meeting club owner Nana Agyemang Badu II.
