Madrid will now start preparing for their Champions League encounter against Manchester City following the conclusion of their successful LaLiga campaign, while Leganes will be feeling dejected as they must look ahead to next season in the Spanish second tier despite a strong end to the campaign.
Leganes are relegated from LaLiga following their 2-2 draw with Madrid despite throwing everything at their opponents in the second half. Madrid opened the scoring when Ramos nodded home Isco's free-kick in the ninth minute, but Leganes acquitted themselves well in the opening period and levelled the scores through Gil on the brink of half-time.
