Yakou Meite was on target in Reading’s 3-2 victory over Bristol City at the Madejski Stadium in Saturday’s English Championship game.

After losing their last two games to Birmingham City and Swansea City, the Royals bounced back to winning ways in front of their home fans with the Ivorian leading the way.

Eight minutes into the tie, the 27-year-old opened the scoring for Paul Clement’s men, pouncing on a loose ball in the box before slotting past goalkeeper Max O'Leary.

However, the home team could only hold on to their lead for 15 minutes before the visitors levelled through Marlon Pack.

Meite who has now scored four goals in his last four games was replaced in the 37th minute by Garath McCleary.

Liam Kelly restored the lead for the Royals but Josh Brownhill scored to bring his side back to contention just before the break.

Leandro Bacuna then notched the decisive goal in the 66th minute to help the Madejski Stadium outfit claim their fourth league win of the season.

Despite the victory, Reading are in the bottom three with 15 points from 16 games and will hope to build on the form when they clash with Ipswich Town on November 10.
