The rogue faction in Selangor FA (FAS) held a press conference on Sunday, as a response to the presser held one day earlier by its president Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin.
The camp, ostensibly headed by executive committee (exco) members Dato' Ariffin Ab Hamid and Omar Ali, had held an extraordinary general meeting last Thursday to elect new officials, due to their displeasure towards Tengku Amir's choice of officials in the association.
On Saturday, Tengku Amir held a press conference of his own along with his faction, essentially rejecting the results of the election.
Ariffin in the Sunday presser said that he was merely protecting the rights of the association's affiliate members, many of whom had been sacked following Tengku Amir's election as president back in June.
"We have no intentions of being insolent, and we're not here to start a war. We simply want to uphold the rights of the affiliate members.
"Many of us have been sacked by the association, when we were the ones who nominated Tengku Amir. He wanted to bring in new people, and we had no problems with that, but these newcomers then turned into snake-tongued sharks who provided false advice. We'll reveal more later.
"We are not betraying them, in fact we are FAS and Tengku Amir's saviours. We are not in it to gain anything beyond the glory of football in the state of Selangor," remarked Ariffin.

Strangely enough, after all their efforts to dissent against Tengku Amir's faction, the rogue also expressed on more than one occassions the sentiment that they may not necessarily be in the right.
"We have the right to express our opinions. Whether it's true or not is not important.
"We'll just let the sports commissioner have the last word on this dispute," said Omar.
But when asked by Goal whether they have concrete plans for the Red Giants if any future judgments favour their faction, Omar failed to respond in a convincing manner.
"That's too far ahead. When the whole matter is put to rest, I'll be able to answer that.
"I can't answer that now, it's difficult. I'm sorry," said the former Selangor youth coach.
