WATCH: Rivers United bow to superior Club Africain

The Nigerians began their Confederation Cup campaign on a shaky note as they failed the Tunisian’s test

Rivers United tried all they could, yet lost 3-1 to Club Africain at the Stade Olympique de Rades, Rades on Sunday.

The defeat masterminded by Bilel Ifa and Oussama Darragi ensured the Tunisian began their campaign for the Caf Confederation Cup title on a victorious note.

After a poor first half showing, Stanley Eguma’s men almost cantered during the second half as John Odumegwu reduced the deficit in the 53rd minute, but Joseph Douhadji’s own goal hindered their chances of a comeback.
