A look back at Arsenal's journey in the 2018-19 UEFA Europa League group stages...

It has been a spectacular campaign for Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League this season. The Gunners will want to end it on a high by beating Premier League rivals Chelsea in the final on Thursday.

This will be Arsenal's first major European final since their 2-1 defeat to Barcelona under former manager Arsene Wenger.  But the Gunners have their hopes high as it is Unai Emery who will be rallying the troops at the Baku Olympic Stadium and the man has already won the coveted silverware thrice with Sevilla.

Arsenal were placed alongside Vorskla, Sporting CP and Qarabag in the group stages and they picked up 16 points from six matches. They started their European campaign with a resounding display at the Emirates as they went on to beat Vorskla 4-2. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was in stellar form as he scored a brace while Danny Welbeck and Mesut Ozil also registered their names on the scoresheet.

The North-London side continued their supremacy on the road as well as they went on trounce Qarabag 3-0 away from home. They were proving to be a side who were not only reliant on Aubameyang as three different scorers found the net in Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Emile Smith Rowe and Matteo Guendouzi.

In Portugal against Sporting, they had to toil hard for the three points and with just 13 minutes from the final whistle, Welbeck scored the winner to maintain their winning streak.

But in London, Sporting fought harder and did not allow the hosts to get away with three points as the two sides were locked in a 0-0 draw at full-time.

Arsenal did not lose further points as they beat Vorskla and Qarabag 3-0 and 1-0 respectively on matchday five and six.
