Thomas Adeshina has opened up on what is driving his table-topping Lobi Stars side's excellent league campaign so far in the Nigerian top-flight this season.
The Pride of Benue gained their fourth away draw in the 1-1 draw at Sunshine Stars to hold a three-point lead on top of the log with a game in hand.
The result in Akure means Solomon Ogbeide's side have now picked 10 points on their travels this season, including two away wins at Heartland and Enugu Rangers.
And the former Owena Whales forward attributed their stellar performance this term to their quality pre-season preparations and huge motivation from the management.
"Many did not reckon with us at the beginning of the season but our incredible form so far is speaking for us," Adeshina told Goal.
"We have been working to get to this our current position. It is not easy to get to the top and staying there too but we have continued to challenge ourselves because all we want is the title.
"Nothing is won or lost yet but we are not ready to give up this season. I think our success so far is because of the good pre-season preparations we had in Ijebu Ode and the quality competition at the Gold Cup tournament in Ilorin.
"I must also acknowledge the support of the club's management in making sure we lack nothing. They've been doing a great work and providing a lot of motivation too."
