Sunshine Stars loss won't affect our confidence, says Remo Stars’ Victor Chidume

Victor Chidume says that Remo Stars’ 1-0 loss against Sunshine Stars will not affect their confidence.

Prior to Sunday’s encounter in Akure, the Sky Blue Stars were on a run of four games without defeat.  But Thomas Adeshina put an end to the impressive run.

And Chidume insists that their defeat in the hands of the Owena Whales will not deter their positive mindsets.

“We did very very well just that in the first half we conceded an early goal and it did so much in destabilizing us in the first period,” Chidume told Goal.

“We came back in the second half better, dictated the play, got a goal [late own goal] that was unfortunately ruled out.

“The loss here won't make us lose our confidence, we have a good coach who's capable of handling that.

“We have another away game before we hit the mid-season and we shall continue to aim for the maximum points away from home.

“The loss to Sunshine Stars has done nothing to our confidence level. We were just unfortunate to lose,” he concluded.
