Gor Mahia will have to find another alternative venue for their Caf Confederation Cup matches after Sports Stadia imposed another ban on Monday.
This comes a day after the club used the venue in a friendly against Hull City but the behavior of fans as irked Kasarani management.
“This is to inform you that the Ministry of Sports, Heritage and the Management of Sports of Kenya have decided to temporarily stop all the football activities at Kasarani Stadium until further notice,” revealed a statement obtained by Goal.
“This is informed by the unfortunate incident during the game between Gor Mahia and Hull City on Sunday 13th, May 20, 2018, where fans destroyed seats and other properties in and outside the stadium. The extent of the damage is being established.
“In the meantime, the Ministry will constitute a team comprising of relevant stakeholders to analyze the happenings and come up with appropriate measures to avoid such instances in the future.”
Gor Mahia will host USM Algers in the second match of Caf Confederation Cup on Wednesday.
