Football Kenya Federation has been thrown into a dark future with Harambee Stars coach, Paul Put following withdrawal notice by the sponsor, SportPesa.
Put who penned a two year deal with FKF last August, draws his salaries from the gaming giants coffers.
But Put's undisclosed wages could be the subject of discussion should SportPesa make good their threat to pull out from all sponsorship deals in the local sports scene.
The gaming giants suffered a legal blow after a High Court on Thursday threw away their appeal challenging the 35 percent taxation on revenue from all gaming income.
“This is a very big blow… Kenyan football will lose close to Sh500 million. This affects all our departments, Harambee Stars, the Kenyan Premier League, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards,” FKF president, Nick Mwendwa was quoted by NairobiNews.
SportPesa also sponsors the Kenyan Premier League.
Its s not yet clear whether the federation will be in a comfortable position to pay the Belgian's dues should SportPesa pull out.
