FKF President Sam Nyamweya congratulates Nick Mwendwa
The statement comes just days after the High Court of Kenya quashed an order to ban Nyamweya from football activities

Former Football Kenya Federation President Sam Nyamweya is keen to make a comeback to football management.

Nyamweya, who stepped down during the last election that ushered in new President Nick Mwendwa, now says time has come for him to return and ‘help the sport.’

“I retired from football management when I opted not to participate in the last elections that ushered in Nick Mwendwa, my former TMS Manager, who I believed will take it to the next level. Sadly, he has failed astronomically.

"I today announce that I am coming out of retirement courtesy of Nick Mwendwa who provoked me by purporting ten years ban on me from all football activities.

“Together with people, who are ready to save our game from the current autocratic and radar less leadership, we are going to work together to save Kenyan football from the current fall.”

The statement comes just days after the High Court of Kenya quashed an order to ban Nyamweya from football activities for ten-years. “I received the ruling on Friday quashing my purported ten years ban from all football activities with so much joy.

“The ruling was a landmark because it has exposed the petty management style we are currently experiencing in our football. It is sad that our football management has sunk so low to a point we have resorted to fighting any person who dares criticizes how things are run.”
