Kenneth Omeruo has hailed Nigerian teammate Emem Eduok after carving out Bernard Mensah’s opener for Kasimpasa in their win over Goztepe in a Turkish Super Lig encounter.
Kemal Özdeş’ men ran out 3-1 winners over their visitors at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium on Friday evening. And it was the silky touch of the Nigerian striker that helped open the scoring for the hosts in the tenth minute.
Eduok got the ball in the box before laying off with his first touch for Mensah - stationed at the edge of the area - whose curler handed the Apaches the lead.
Two minutes after the interval, Castro levelled proceedings for the Göz Göz before goals by John Romana and Strahil Popov - courtesy an assist from the Ghana midfielder - sealed the victory for the hosts.
Omeruo, on-loan from Chelsea, played the entire duration of the game and then took to the social media to express delight with the win and hailed his countryman’s clever touch for Mensah's goal.
“What a game, great win, great fight, massive three points. Emem Eduok, fine assist,” Omeruo captioned an Instagram post.
"Bernard Mensah congrats on your goal," he added.
