Turkish Super Lig side Bursaspor have confirmed the signing of William Troost-Ekong on a three-year deal.

The 23-year-old defender who joined Belgian outfit Gent from Dordrecht in 2015, had enjoyed loan spells with Haugesund for two seasons before playing seven games for the Ghelamco arena outfit last season.

Bursaspor who finished 14th in the Turkish Super Lig last season announced that the Super Eagles defender has agreed personal terms after reaching an agreement with Gent.

“The Nigerian defensive player, William Troost-Ekong and his club in Belgium's KAA Gent have been agreed in principle and the player will sign a three-year contract,” the club wrote on their website.

Troost-Ekong joins the growing list of Nigerian players in Turkey and becomes the second player to leave Gent this summer following Rabiu Ibrahim’s departure to Slovan Bratislava.
