Peter Odemwingie scores in Madura United home draw

Peter Odemwingie was on target for Madura United as they were forced to a 2-2 draw against Mitra Kukar on Friday.

The former Nigerian forward fired the hosts in front two minutes into the game before Marclei Santos leveled matters for the visitors at the Gelora Ratu Pamelingan Stadium.

In the 53rd minute, Dane Milovanovic recovered Madura's lead but Amindito Erminarno netted eight minutes from full time to stop the hosts from grabbing maximum points.

It is the 35-year-old second goal in three appearances for Gomes de Olivera’s side since joining the Liga 1 side from Rotherham United earlier in April.

The draw sees Madura United drop to eighth on the log with four points and they travel to Patriot Stadium to face third-placed Persija on May 4.
