Western Stima kept their bid of returning to the top flight alive by registering maximum points against Kibera Black Stars at Moi Stadium Kisumu.

The power men, who were relegated from the top flight last season, needed a Kevin Monyi strike to down the Nairobi-based side by a solitary goal.

The result ensured the Kisumu-based side go second with 46 points, two behind league leaders Ushuru, who defeated Nairobi City Stars 2-0 on Friday.

John Kamau led KCB managed to get a 2-1 win against Kangemi All Stars in an entertaining clash staged at Camp Toyoyo, Nairobi.

Martin Nderitu gave the bankers their first goal in the 21st minute with a well taken strike, before Simon Abuko doubled the advantage in the 80th minute. Gideon Abucheri scored a consolation for the visitors to ensure his side does not go home empty handed.

At the same venue, Nairobi Stima dropped two crucial points after playing to a two all draw against FC Talanta.

Talanta scored its goals courtesy of Isaac Sadam and Hussein Seir with their opponents getting theirs through Washington Gichovi and Victor Ndinya.

Isibania was held 1-1 at home by visiting Police FC while Nakuru All Stars defeated GFE 2-0.
