The second leg of the clubs' Coppa Italia semi-final was marked by jeers and boos towards the striker, and one fan went even further.

Slipping security around the pitch perimeter, the individual was decked in a Superman shirt as he tried to approach Higuain.

He appeared to try and drape a Napoli scarf around his former idol's shoulders, but was stopped by officials before contact was made.

Higuain's €90 million move to Juve caused outrage amongst Napoli fans, leading to shirts with his name being burned and rolls of toilet paper produced carrying his likeness.

Abused by home supporters during the warm-up, he had earlier signalled towards the San Paolo directors' box in an apparent effort to shift the blame for his departure onto the Napoli president, Aurelio De Laurentiis.
