Nakumatt FC suffered a humiliating 5-2 defeat in the hands of a hungry Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday.

The Shoppers came into the match as favourites considering their general form especially in the second leg of the league.

Amani Kayata opened the scoring for the hosts in the 6th minute, heading in a perfect cross from the right; but it is like that opener provoked the Sharks, who replied in the 27th minute courtesy of Erick Kapaito, who headed a Patillah Omotto ball past Lucas Indeche.

With about fifteen minutes to the break, the visitors led for the first time after George Abege hit the back of the net after Harrison Mwendwa had set him up.

Eugine Ambulwa committed a foul in the danger zone with 55 minutes gone to give Kapaito a chance to score his second of the game and Sharks' third.

In the 59th minute, Kapaito completed his hat-trick with a well taken goal after an excellent counter attack. Nakumatt hit their second with five minutes to go through John Mwangi.

At Chemelil, the hosts Chemelil Sugar defeated the visiting Mathare United by a solitary goal scored in the 43rd minute by Felix Oluoch.
