Malaga’s Brown Ideye ‘grateful’ for first LaLiga goal

Brown Ideye is ‘grateful’ after scoring his first goal in the Spanish LaLiga as Malaga suffered a 2-1 home loss to Valencia.

The Nigeria international who made his third appearance for La Albicelestes since he joined the Spanish outfit on loan from Chinese Super League side, Tianjin Teda opened the scoring in the 27th minute.

Despite the bright start for Jose Gonzalez’s men, they soon soft-pedaled, allowing Francis Coquelin to level matters for the visitors before Daniel Parejo netted the match-winning goal.

The former West Bromwich Albion player who endured a difficult time at Tianjin Tiger last played for the club in July 2017 before his temporary move to La Rosaleda outfit.

And after opening his goals account in the Primera Division, the forward has taken to the social media to share his joy of overcoming the ‘disappointment.’

“When you have a disappointment, have a bigger view,” Ideye tweeted.

“Maybe it didn’t work out because God has something better coming your way.”
