Enugu Rangers ’ midfielder, Chiamaka Madu claims their slow start to Sunday’s league encounter was reason for their loss to  Kano Pillars .

First half strikes from Jamiu Alimi and Junior Lokosa saw the Flying Antelopes lose 2-0 to Sai Masu Gida at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

“We actually slowed down at the beginning of the game and before we woke up in the second half, we were already two goals down and it was difficult coming back in the game,” Madu told Goal .

"The second half was much better. We didn’t concede any further goal and we played very well too. It was difficult playing against them especially at the beginning of the game but we stepped up in the second half.
