Lokosa has been in inspiring form since the beginning of the season and has fired seven goals to race to the top of the goals chart but he said the tactics of their hosts made it difficult for him and his teammates to get any goal in the topflight tie played at the Ondo Sports Complex.
“I am extremely happy that we left Akure with a point but was sad that I couldn’t add to my goal tally. We left Kano with the determination that we are going to pick an away win and we went all out for it from the start to finish but the home team nullified our tactics and it was difficult for us to near their goal area,” Lokosa told Goal.
“We have added another vital draw to the points we have garnered this season. We shall go back home and review what we ought to have done better to record a win in our next game.
“It is always my resolve to score goals but when I am held back I won’t be able to. I will try to improve my act of scoring so that I can find ways to unlock tight defence in the future,” he said.
Sai Masu Gida’s draw in Akure has strengthened their stronghold on third spot in the league table with 15 points from eight games ahead of their blockbuster fixture with Enyimba in Kano this weekend.
