Aubameyang, Smith Rowe, Arsenal 2020-21

Thank you and good night!

A crazy night of football as Arsenal found a way to stun Chelsea while Serie A gave us a few goal explosions. Back again tomorrow with a good one between Manchester United and Liverpool!

James: The loss doesn't affect us

Chelsea still have some big games to play, most notably an FA Cup final and a Champions League final against Manchester City, and Reece James says the Blues will move quickly to forget tonight's result.

He told Sky Sports: "We lost. We made a mistake which led to their goal and didn't take our chances. We only have ourselves to blame for the loss. On another day maybe the game goes differently.

"They're a good team and hard to break down. We had chances to score and put the game to bed.

"The games come thick and fast and the players come in and out. Everyone is at different fitness levels. We all put 100% in and we're going to get tired sometimes.

"It doesn't affect us in any way. We're still fighting to win very game. The loss doesn't affect us tonight. It's disappointing to lose but we can't take negativity into tomorrow's session."

Too many changes for Chelsea?

After making seven changes to his starting XI, Tuchel admitted he has some regrets.

"Totally our fault, nobody else's. We lost, it's totally our responsibilty. We had huge chances. We made an own goal more or less - total gift," Tuchel said.  Overall we were not sharp enough. We couldn't put out the same intensity and energy as usual.

"It was maybe too many changes from the last match and I take full responsibility for that. Maybe it's the last wake-up call for all of us. I felt it a little bit coming in training and I'm a bit unlucky that it's proven today on the pitch. I regret... we could have, we could have, we could have but we didn't.

"We had three days. We're on a good run, good mood. The choices were not so good from my side for the line-up. This is on me. We were unlucky. We can lose in football. We did everything today to lose.

"I'm not happy with my line-up. There were too many changes and I shouldn't have done it like this. It was something in particular but I don't want to tell you."

More history for Ronaldo

Arteta: It was a gift

"I'm very pleased, we haven't won here in 10 years so it's very good to get the result," the Arsenal boss told BBC Match of the Day.

"It's a gift because we were pressing through with the right attitude and organisation so you force mistakes.

"We had good organisation, moments when you come here against Thomas Tuchel you will suffer, it's not realistic to come here and think you will play them off the park. The attitude of the boys and the team was extraordinary.

"I am very happy - it's good we won one football game so I'm happy."

Tuchel 'not happy' with Chelsea performance

"The first half was OK, it was enough to lead 3-0 but we were 1-0 down because we forgot to score at the other end and then scored an own goal practically, I don't know how Arsenal would've scored if we didn't give it to them ourselves," Tuchel told BBC.

"We were not sharp enough, not the same energy as usual. We are responsible, I am responsible, we are all in this together so it was not enough to win the game.

"Bit angry that we had so many changes, that's on me, not so happy in the end with the line-up, but I didn't know what would happen, I didn't feel us today like I normally do and we can't expect to win games if we're not 100% in games. We didn't have a shot for almost the whole second half, then we had a big one, maybe we deserved this today, we learn something.

"I'm not happy with what I saw, I have my responsibility because I picked the line-up, but the performance was the performance."

Smith-Rowe: It was a lucky finish!

"That happens sometimes, I'm happy it went in but it was a slightly lucky finish," the goalscorer told Sky Sports. "It means so much to score for this fantastic club, I just want to keep pushing on.

"I'm so tired but I feel like we played well, we looked tired at times but we got the three points and showed our character, we defended really well in patches and after this tough season, it was a good performance from us today.

"We're working really hard in training and showed this season how good we can be, but we need to keep pushing forward."

A rare defeat for Chelsea and a more rare double for Arsenal

This was only Chelsea's third defeat in 26 matches under Thomas Tuchel, while Arsenal completed the league double over Chelsea for the first time since 2003-04.
