Les Bleus got the better of Uruguay in their quarter final meeting and are now frontrunners to go all the way in Russia after the Selecao's exit

The first World Cup quarter final went as expected as a Uruguay side missing Edinson Cavani were beaten 2-0 by France.

That result saw Les Bleus move to the front of the outright winner market with the bookmakers ahead of the second match between Brazil and Belgium.

Despite being 11/10 (2.10) to win the game in normal time, Tite's men were dumped out of the competition in Kazan.

The 2-1 victory for Robert Martinez's side means that France are now just 2/1 (3.0) in dabblebet's latest World Cup winner market ahead of Belgium at 11/4 (3.75).

The pair will meet on Tuesday in what the bookmakers believe is a well-matched semi-final. France are 6/4 (2.50) to win the game with Belgium available at 2/1 (3.0) and the draw is 9/4 (3.25).

With a European winner now assured, England are 4/1 (5.0) to go all the way for the first time since 1966 ahead of their clash with Sweden in Samara. The Swedes are the joint biggest priced side left in the competition, on offer at 20/1 (21.0) with dabblebet.

The Three Lions are the only team that were made odds-on favourites to win their quarter final in 90 minutes although at 19/20 (1.95) that might not be the case by kick off if there is significant support for the underdogs.

Janne Andersson's men are currently 7/2 (4.50) to get the better of England and 19/10 (2.90) to progress to the quarter finals.

Croatia (6/1) will need to get the better Russia (also 20/1) if they are to keep their World Cup dreams alive.

The Group D winners are 6/5 (2.20) to win the match in normal time but will be wary of underestimating a host nation that send a well-fancied Spain side out of the competition in the previous round.

It's 9/1 (10.0) that Russia triumph on spot kicks once more and 11/8 (2.38) that the home side progress by any method.
