The experienced custodian ditched Batoto ba Mungu but has denied reports linking him with a transfer move to the brewers

Former Sofapaka goalkeeper Mathias Kigonya has denied reports linking him with Tusker, saying he has not been approached.

The experienced custodian ditched Batoto ba Mungu at the end of the season, and Goal understands AFC Leopards were interested in signing him but the deal fell through.

The Ugandan says he is still available and that once he gets a concrete deal he will take it. “Tusker is a good club, with good players and anyone would like to play for them.

“But they have not approached me on the same, I have just read in the media that they are interested in my services and believe you me that is all I know.

“If I get an offer from them, yes I will consider it. My target, or objective is to play for a good club next season, and that is why I put it clear that I will consider any concrete offer.”

Kigonya is currently in his homeland as he waits to get a new team.
