Karim Nizigiyimana has promised to repay Gor Mahia with loyalty after the club walked with him throughout the entire time he was sidelined with an injury process that lasted almost one year.
The Burundian defender was sidelined with a tendon tear injury, picked last year against Thika United in the Kenyan Premier League match.
Reports in July linked Karim with a move to Tanzania, where Yanga emerged as the top target. The right-back has since rubbished the media reports where he was quoted by a section of the press expressing his desires to join the Tanzanian champions.
“If I start looking for another club at this point, then I will be doing wrong.
“Gor Mahia showed me love by taking care of me when I was nursing an injury. I received my full salary the whole time that I wasn’t playing. Not every club can do whatever they did to me to a player. It’s now my time to repay them. I’m ready to work for Gor Mahia,” Karim said on Wednesday.

“There is no way I could have said that (move to Yanga), yet I was still recovering and the Doctor had not given me a clean bill of health. Furthermore, I still have a contract with Gor Mahia."
The defender made his 2018 KPL season debut in Gor Mahia’s 2-1 win against Posta Rangers in Kisumu.
