Looking unsteady at the back but productive in attack, Al Hain-Cole expects the Azzurri and Santos' team to produce goals at both ends in Milan

Italy will be hoping to keep their slim chances of Nations League glory alive when they welcome Portugal to San Siro for their final group game on Saturday.

The Azzurri are two points adrift of their opponents, who have a game in hand at home to already eliminated Poland still to play.

Latest Odds

With nothing less than victory enough to keep their chances alive, the hosts are available at 6/5 (2.20) to come out on top in Milan.

However, Fernando Santos' men have won the last two encounters between the sides, and are available at 12/5 (3.40) to book their place in the knockout stages with another win.

None of the last eight meetings between this pair have resulted in a draw, but you can get odds of 11/5 (3.20) on this one finishing up all square.

Team News

Sandro Tonali, Stefano Sensi and Vincenzo Grifo have all been handed their first senior call-ups, although Federico Bernadeschi has withdrawn from the squad due to a muscle injury.

Raphael Guerreiro, Jose Fonte, Andre Gomes and Joao Mario have all returned for the guests, but there is still no room for star man Cristiano Ronaldo.

Goals at both ends

Ronaldo's absence has actually not proved too much of a problem for the Selecao, who have found the net in all four games without the captain - scoring eight goals in total.

If anything, it is the defence that could do with some help, considering they have now conceded in six of the last eight fixtures.

With Roberto Mancini's men going all out for a win in an open match, even odds (2.00) are surely worth backing on goals being scored at both ends for both teams' seventh match in nine.
