Intercontinental cup - Iran and Russia secure their positions in semi-final and Egypt flourishes its hope

Egypt has a tough task to cross the next stage

Egypt opened the matches of the second day of Intercontinental Cup 2017 held in United Arab of Emirates by beating the host 3-4.

Brazil continued their amazing run in the tournament with a win over Portugal 4-1, after they smashed Egypt in the first match 11-3.

Brazil remains first in Group A by 6 points, Portugal in the second place by 3 points, Egypt is the third by 3 points with the goal differences, and UAE in the last place of the group without points.

In Group B, Russia won the second match on row after difficult win over Paraguay 2-1, and Portugal made the same by beating Mexico 4-1 to secure their places in the semi-final of the tournament in the first and second positions in this group.

In addition, Mexico faces Paraguay in their last match in the tournament in the battle of third place, and another burning battle will be played between Iran and Russia on the first position in Group B.

In the other group, Egypt has to do its best to overcome Portugal in order to qualify to the semifinal, while Brazil will be in an easier mission to cross the next stage when they face UAE.
