Indian Football - Mumbai beckons for national team training camp ahead of AFC Asian Cup 2019 qualifier

Stephen Constantine will put his Indian side through their paces in Mumbai in March, ahead of two ties in Southeast Asia...

The Indian national football team are set to straddle up for a tricky Asian Football Confederation's (AFC) Asian Cup 2019 qualification in March, 2017.

The Blue Tigers will first take to the Mumbai Football Arena, in Andheri, between 11th and 18th March for practice sessions.

The team will soon depart the nation's financial capital to Cambodia's Phnom Penh, where the Cambodian national football team are set to host the Blue Tigers in a friendly.

Soon after that, Stephen Constantine's side will alight in Yangon, where they will play Myanmar in the opening group 'A' match of their qualification campaign, on 28th March, at the Thuwunna Stadium. 

Myanmar are ranked 159th in the football ladder, whilst the Kouprey Blues are further behind at 175th. 

India have been drawn alongside Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar & Macau in the final qualification round for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup to be held in United Arab Emirates (UAE).  The draw was held on 23rd January, in Abu Dhabi.
