Gor Mahia will take on English side Hull City in a promotional friendly at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.

It will be the second time in two years that K’Ogalo are coming up against an opponent from England, considering the fact that last year they played Everton FC and lost 2-1 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Team captain Haron Shakava is hoping that each player will get some playing time against Hull City. “As a captain, my joy will be winning this match, and that is the main thing.

“We have players, who can do the job, it does not matter who plays, everyone is capable of giving Gor Mahia a positive outcome. As a captain, I hope the majority of players can get a chance to play,” Shakava told Goal.

“It is a match we want to win for the fans, we all know we can do it and it is up to us to execute our plan on the pitch.”

The match will kick-off at 3.00pm.
