A number of new faces underline the beginning of the Arnold era

New Socceroos coach Graham Arnold will begin his second reign in charge with a training camp in September and has named a youthful squad as he looks to bring in the next generation of talent.

Five uncapped players have all been called up with Ben Garuccio, Kenneth Dougall, John Iredale, Denis Genreau and Awer Mabil all earning a spot in the camp to be held in Turkey next week.

Iredale, Genreau and Daniel Arzani are all 19 meaning there are three teenagers in Arnold's first squad.

Several fringe Socceroos have earned recalls with Bailey Wright, Mustafa Amini, Mitchell Duke, Apostolos Giannou, Ajdin Hrustic, Mitchell Langerak, Alex Gersbach and Aleksandar Susnjar all returning to the fold under Arnold.

Mathew Leckie, Tom Rogic, and Andrew Nabbout meanwhile were all not considered for selection due to injury.

Despite uncertainties over his international future, Mark Milligan has been included in the squad alongside skipper Mile Jedinak.

Ahead of a confirmed friendly against South Korea in November, Arnold said the training camp is the beginning of a new era for the national team.

"Next week’s camp in Turkey marks the start of a new phase for the Socceroos," Arnold said.

"While we will have numerous field, tactical, and video sessions during the seven days that we are together in Turkey, we will also spend plenty of time off the pitch discussing our individual and team objectives and identity.

"As an organisation we’ve made the decision to take this camp close to the bulk of the players involved. This will lighten the travel load on the majority of the group, ensuring that they arrive in camp and back at their clubs as fresh as possible.

"The 31 players we have invited to Antalya will be the first to receive an opportunity to work with us, however we have a long list of players that we are monitoring and we will continue to assess them as we seek to add to the depth of the team."

Full squad: Mustafa Amini, Daniel Arzani, Aziz Behich, Milos Degenek, Kenneth Dougall, Mitchell Duke, Ben Garuccio, Denis Genreau, Alex Gersbach, Apostolos Giannou, Ajdin Hrustic, John Iredale, Jackson Irvine, Mile Jedinak, Bard Jones, Tomi Juric, Matthew Jurman, Robbie Kruse, Mitchell Langerak, Massimo Luongo, Awer Mabil, Jamie Maclaren, Mark Milligan, Aaron Mooy, Dimi Petratos, Josh Risdon, Mathew Ryan, Trent Sainsbury, Aleksandr Susnjar, Daniel Vukovic, Bailey Wright.
